Save Our Old Growth

Home

The  Northwest Old-Growth Legacy Campaign is a communication and coordination network of forest conservation organizations focused exclusively on the enactment into law of federal legislation that protects, restores and maintains old-growth forests and watersheds on federal forestlands in Oregon, Washington and Northern California.

Big BottomOld Growth.

Ancient forests.

Heritage forests.

Late successional reserves.

Really big trees.

No matter what you call it, you know it when you see it. Giant trees, healthy streams, abundant wildlife and thriving ecosystems.

If you have made it to this site, there's a good chance you care about the old-growth forests we have left in the Northwest. You care about the clean water old growth provides. You care about the habitat old growth supplies. You care about the role old growth will play in fighting global warming.

There is also a good chance that you have walked through a grove of ancient trees, marveled at their size and grandeur and decided that old-growth forests are something we should pass on as a legacy to future generations.

This website is just getting started, but the movement to protect old growth has been underway for decades. Look around the site and check back often as we start to add information, images and resources to help you discover and protect the old-growth forests of the Northwest.
